Tipi
Oak Park – A Place of Power
Surrounded by beautiful nature and far from the bustle of the city, the Pühali Tipi offers a truly distinctive setting. A unique space and a living fire create the atmosphere for a memorable experience. With a diameter of 8 metres, the tipi comfortably accommodates groups of 25–30 people.
Originating from North America, the tipi is a cosy space that can be enjoyed throughout the year, even in rainy or snowy weather. Whatever the weather outside, spending time in the tipi offers a unique and powerful experience. A fire in the centre warms the entire space, making the tipi an ideal setting for meaningful events, rituals, unique gatherings and many other special occasions throughout the year.
Location
The Pühali Tipi stands at the heart of a powerful circle of oak trees and is reached along an oak-lined path. Its entrance faces east, towards the rising sun. The tipi is a welcoming place for the community to come together. Its circular shape creates a sense of connection among those gathered inside, fostering emotional and spiritual togetherness and helping to soften feelings of separation and differences.
Energy
Symbols formed from different-coloured paving stones on the floor give the tipi its distinctive character. A path of small paving stones leads from the entrance to the fire pit. Its traditional Estonian woven-belt pattern features a diamond with a dot at its centre – a symbol of continuity and harmony that is also believed to offer protection from evil. The dot within the diamond represents a seed and fertility. The path leads to a circle containing a swastika, an ancient symbol that in Estonian folk tradition represents the sun, fire and the hearth. The Native American-inspired geometry represents the cyclical nature of life through the four cardinal directions.
